Living Spiritually

Full Moon Ritual|| Blue Moon 7.31.15

So last night, July 31st, was the full moon, but it was also a blue moon. The moon was not literally blue. It is called that because a full moon occurred twice in one month. This was a time to get things going because the opportunities that would present themselves only come around once in a blue moon. Any who, about a week prior a load of information about the upcoming full moon was coming at me from every direction. An unfortunate situation occurred between me and someone of my past and it momentarily threw me for a loop. A few of my closest friends were also going through things with people in their lives (especially regarding men) on top of daily life struggle so I felt the need that we needed to come together as sistars and purge all of the negativity that had surrounded us. I needed to create a space of release to heal ourselves and each other.

As soon as I introduced the idea to each of my sistars they were excited and ready to rid the bad vibes!

While I was prepping for our activities the number 4 kept coming to me. When everyone arrived it was a mellow atmosphere. We all knew each other so we were all comfortable to speak and move as we pleased. It ended up being 4 of us. We started the "ceremony" so to speak by writing down all of the negativity that we wanted out of our lives on a piece of paper. That included people, things, and situations. Then I asked everyone to write down a positive affirmation or intention that would be spoken over our lives. We then went outside, started playing "Bag Lady" by Erykah Badu, and began to burn the piece of paper holding what we wanted to release. WE watched the papers ignite and the fire grow as our problems literally became smoke and disappeared.

Once the fire self extinguished, we went inside and chanted OM in unison. That led to us going into a brief meditation with the sounds of crystal singing bowls playing softly in the background. To gently bring everyone back to the present, I played my singing bowls. My friend's son even decided to join in on playing.

After that we got right up and went into SAGE333 (which is something that I will discuss later, but you can check my IG and that hashtag for more information and references). Long story short SAGE stands for Sacral Activity Goddess Energy. We played some upbeat songs with heavy drum beats and began moving our hips! We all literally worked up a sweat together and we absolutely did not care. We danced for about 20 minutes and naturally went into conversing our lives over wine, chips and grapes (life of goddesses right?!).

When everyone was leaving, we all felt relieved and happy. I was so pleased with everything that was happening and all the signs we were receiving. I knew in my heart of hearts that I needed to have a gathering and I am so glad that I went with how I felt. Coming together with other women close to me during a time of such powerful energy could only bring about positivity. Nonetheless my friends felt healed and I not only healed myself, but healed others.

I think I might host more full moon rituals in the future. I told myself that by the next blue moon I will have a house with a backyard so that we can full bask in the ambiance that is the full moon and all of her feminine glory.

"Number 4 resonates with the vibrations of practicality and responsibility, illumination and initiation, building solid foundations, stability and ability, determination and endurance, hard work and progress.  Number 4 also represents our passion and drive and encourages us to work harmoniously yet diligently to achieve our goals and aspirations. Number 4 is the number that represents the four elements of Air, Fire, Water and Earth, and the four sacred directions, North, South, East and West."- Joanne; SacredScribesAngelNumbers.blogspot.com
